One of the most successful and longtime Mexican rock pop band is Maná, with almost four decades of touring first inside their native country where they started originally as “Sombrero Verde” in the early 80s and later on in the rest of the country and the world, on the eve of the release much awaited covers album after in November of last year they achieved their first Regional Mexican Airplay No. 1 with its new version of 2011’s “Amor Clandestino”, alongside Edén Muñoz.

5.“LABIOS COMPARTIDOS”
The first hit of their seventh studio album “Amar es combatir” (2006) reached the number one spot of Billboard Hot Latin Tracks for eight straight weeks while it became one of the most herd songs all over Latin America. Its video directed by Pablo Croce and debuted on MTV Hits presents a controversial presented a controversial threesome for the time and was awarded Best Music Video of that Year of MTV Latin America which took place on October 19th, 2006 on Mexico City and was hosted by Molotova and Ana de la Reguera.
4. “MARIPOSA TRAICIONERA”
Maná started the new Millennium with a bang with the release of their sixth studio album “Revolución de Amor” which included as its third single this song which was released on April 5th of 2003 and debuted on number 39 in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks, remaining 13 weeks on the lists before it became Maná´s first hit on July 5th. Its success was supported by a video with the streamy presence of Argentinian actress Julieta Díaz.
3. “CORAZÓN ESPINADO”
Included in the Grammy Winning Album by Mexican guitar master Santana “Supernatural” (1999), this duet produced and sung by Maná lead vocalist Fernando Olvera and co produced by drummer Alex González also won two Grammys for Record of the Year and Best Rock Duet or Group on 2000 Latin Grammy becoming a great hit in the Spanish speaking countries around the world. Their media exposure surrounding this project caught the eye (and the ear) of new listeners and that’s how their first songs became known in the uS and other territories beyond Mexico.
2.“TE LLORÉ UN RÍO”
Included on the third studio album of the band “¿Dónde jugarán los niños?” (1992) this one the second single of the mult platinum record reaching the number 4 position of the Billboard Latin Pop Rock Airplay. In 2022 the song also became an unexpected duet with Regional Mexicana Music sensation Christian Nodal whose recent video exploded on streaming on the eve of the aforementioned covers album.
1.“RAYANDO EL SOL”
Officially Maná´s first radio play hit and video was included on their second studio album, “Falta amor”, released on May, 1990. Ironically, it was a decade later, on February, 2000, the song debuted and reached the number four position in the US Billboard Hot Latin Tracks, and after they did an acoustic live version with Spanish pop sensation Pablo Alboran in 2019 it was official this had to be the first recorded duet for their covers album.
